I wanted to buy leather curtain ties for sons room but the price of them was insane so I made my own for over half the cost!

Full video tutorial

To Make:

-Cut leather to size (or buy the exact size strips)

-mark where you want your holes to be to make the loop

-using a leather hole punch (thing tool with a little hole on the side) set the leather on the anvil and hit the punch with a hammer until a hole is made, you may see the leather come out of the hole in the punch

-do this for all holes needed

-put you D ring on one side and fold over the leather and match up the holes to create your loop

-insert the rivets

-put the "pretty" side of the rivet down on the anvil and use the larger tool (concave side to rivet) and a hammer to close the rivets

This was such an easy project and I love how they look, it was also kind of fun!

I used simple hooks for them to connect to. I wanted this to be kid friendly and something my toddlers could do so I didnt want any complicated ties or hooks
