Vintage & Industrial Chic Poster Hanger

Using some easy to find materials and any poster, you can create an industrial farmhouse decor piece.

Using 1/4″ poplar craft sticks (found in the whitewood aisle of hardware stores) - measure and cut 4 sticks per poster. Cut to allow for a 1.5" overhang on each side (add a total of 3" onto the width of your poster).

Using a 5/16" drill bit (or the appropriate size to your selected hardware) - drill a hole at the 1.5" mark on each side of the stick. Lightly sand to remove edges. Stain or paint and allow to dry.

Start with the bottom edge of the poster. Using a durable glue (I went with Gorilla super glue gel), glue your poster to the bottom stick and place the top stick on top to match. *Obviously, don't use glue on your super expensive vintage map - the pressure of the bolts should be enough.* Thread 5/16" hex head hardware through the drilled hole (you may have to use wrenches to tighten) with a nut on the bottom of the poster sticks. Repeat for the top of the poster BUT don't forget to cut twine as a hanger - sandwich in between the craft sticks for the top of the poster. Allow to dry and cure.
