Hello Denver! Supposedly it will remove sticky grime. You need to use the old style white foam shaving cream not the gel formula. When I was a kid the teachers let us clean our desks on the last day of school by spraying shaving cream on the wooden tops and we would smear it around and then wipe it off with warm water and a sponge! Back in the day when the desks had wooden tops! Lol!

From a few different Hometalkers 2 yrs ago****** "Actually, I saw that very technique on Hometalk.com today, 11-5-17. I don’t happen to like the film it leaves, the odor, or the fact that there is no abrasive, but that’s just me. Buffing certainly should be part of the process. It should leave the cabinets clean and shiny. Best wishes 😇🍁" ANOTHER "This is an inexpensive way to clean varnished, polyurethaned, or lacquered wood. A condensed soap product, the ones with an astringent help to cut grease. Buff to a shine after a good wipe off."********Don't see that it is inexpensive Dawn Disk soap works well alot cheaper. Vinegar works well even cheaper.
