I had a friend who made a wood cover for the tub, using a few 2 x 4s underneath the top so it didn't slide off, then add a foam slab and upholstered it using a staple gun. Then he made some big pillows for the back for a bathroom love seat. He used a sheet set for inexpensive fabric but a great print.
