Tired of your Himmeli light? Learn a simple raffia weaving trick to turn it into a DIY Boho lampshade!

Find the detailed step-by-step here!

It's the perfect weekend project for when you need to tune out and destress!

Start here: take down your himmeli light. This is an Ikea Brunsta lampshade. Make sure it's clean and dust-free before you begin.

Start with the bottom row of triangles. Tie the end of a piece of raffia & weave it around the 2 metal posts. It’s a simple “under/over” weaving motion.

Move up the lampshade to wrap the 2 middle rows of triangles in one go, creating a diamond shape.

When you’ve completed the bottom triangles and the diamonds, you should see a row of inverted triangles towards the top. Fill these with raffia using the same “under/over” pattern used on the bottom triangles.

To finish the lampshade, tie a strand of raffia at the very top of the shade, near the light bulb fixture. Weave the raffia around each successive post.

When you’re done, tie the raffia and cut it short. And voila!
