Although it seems to be a fad to paint fabric furniture, keep in mind that upholstery fabric is not designed or intended to be painted. Although some people report that they have had success, your results may not meet with your expectations, and you will be stuck with the permanent alteration/damage of your piece of furniture. The paint will always change the texture, feel and wear factor of the fabric, and may not adhere well for durability.
Yes you can paint fabrics though for best results the paint needs to be thinned, worked into the fabric, and may need more than one coat of paint. Youtube and Pinterest both have great ideas and tutorials. Good luck!!!

If your looking to paint fabric, you might reconsider and use fabric dye instead if your looking to go darker or brighter than current fabric.... http://www.naptimediy.com/2014/02/dyewingbackchair/ be sure to use really hot water. And if the fabric is polyester, get the new Rite Dye for poly... Dye More. rite has instructions on dyeing and also color formulas.
Today there are so many great fabric paint options out there, that I would go with one made for fabric rather than regular wall paint. The fabric paints are made to give and stretch with your fabric, if used properly they won't crack and many are made to washed, as well. You can find them in craft stores or you can even get fabric spray paint at Home Depot.
It is possible to use fabric paint in place of normal paint, but there are some changes to take into account. Regular paint may peel or split with time and may not stick to textiles as well. The fabric may become less flexible and more rigid as a result.
Yes you can but be sure fabric is damp before hand.
Hello, yes you can, but you will need to thin the paint and work it into the fabric. and it will likely need more than one coat.
