Gardenia care in winter
Any tips for caring for gardenias in winter and fall?
This spring, I bought two Gardenia plants in memory of my Mother that have been on my porch all Summer. They have grown and produced beautifully. I want to be able to keep them that way through Fall and Winter in the Virginia climate. Should I bring them indoors? How do I care for them so they continue to thrive?

I would make the transition gradually, the same way you need to re-introduce them next Spring. Some time this Fall before the first frost, bring them inside and put them in a place in your house that most resembles their conditions outside---- lots of sun and some moisture. Put them on a dolly with wheels to make the move easier.
