Turn some dollar store items into a beautiful nautical meets boho wall art.

Gather your items

You will need rope, round cake boards in 2 sizes (I used 2 of the 20 and 1 of the 25cm sizes). Hot glue gun, white spray paint and white wool.

Step 1

Start by finding the middle of one board and hot glue the end of the rope down. Wind the rope tightly around clockwise adding glue as needed to hold it in place. Keep going until you have covered the cake board.

Step 2

Repeat until all three have been covered.

Step 3

Take outside and lightly spray with paint. You may want to do several layers as the rope tends to soak it up.

Step 4

I made some small tassels with wool and then strung wool across the largest one. Tie the tassels on and make sure you evenly space them.

Step 5

Ready to hang. I prefer to trim the tassel lengths at this point so that you can see how they will sit once on the wall. I trimmed mine so the had a slight curve with the middle ones being longer than the ends.
