- Quarter-inch plywood or similar thin boards
- Saw (to cut the boards)

If you don't want to remove your existing baseboards, no worries! You have options. You can either taper the ends of thicker boards or add an extra piece of trim on top of your baseboards to adjust for thickness. Personally, I prefer using thinner boards.
