  • Scrubbing brush
  • Dishwashing liquid soap
  • Microfiber cloth
  • Bucket or large bowl

Preparing the cleaning solution

Step 1: Prepare the cleaning solution

In a bucket or container, mix warm water with a small amount of dishwashing liquid soap. There's no specific measurement required, but a few drops should be sufficient. Stir the mixture to create a soapy solution.

Pre-treating stains

Step 2: Pre-treat the stains

Dip the scrubbing brush into the soapy solution, ensuring the bristles are saturated. Then, gently scrub the tough stains on the carpet. Use a circular or back-and-forth motion, depending on the type of stain. Continue scrubbing until you notice the stain loosening.

Blotting the stain with a microfiber cloth

Step 3: Blot the stains

Take your microfiber cloth and fold it into a square pad. Gently press the cloth onto the treated area where you've just scrubbed. Apply some pressure to help the cloth absorb the soapy solution and the loosened stain. Continue blotting until the stain is no longer transferring onto the cloth.

Rinsing with a microfiber cloth

Step 4: Rinse the carpet

After successfully removing the stain, rinse the area by blotting it with a clean, damp microfiber cloth. This helps remove any residual soap or dirt. Repeat if necessary.

For particularly stubborn stains, you may need to repeat the scrubbing and blotting process. Be patient and persistent, as some stains may require multiple attempts to completely vanish.

Step 5: Allow the carpet to dry

Once you're satisfied with the stain removal, leave the carpet to air dry. Avoid stepping on the damp area until it's completely dry to prevent new dirt from sticking to the carpet fibers.

You should notice a significant improvement in the appearance of your carpet, with tough stains effectively removed.
