DIY Yarn Wall Art

I have been searching and spending eleventy million hours on the interwebs, trying to find the perfect fringed wall art.
Only to keep coming up short handed because of size or color, I did what any normal person without a ton of time does….made my own :)
this was way simple. Pretty much requires little or no thought process once you get going.

You can bust this baby out in record time. And it’s pretty therapeutic :)
Materials:

Wooden Dowel, Cut to size

Yarn, any brand will do. I used six different colors.

Scissors

Measure and cut yarn for how long it needs to be, sorting as you go.
Tie each yarn strand around dowel, pushing to the side once you are finished.
Fill your dowel up and trim if needed/wanted/
Viola!

How did you tie the yarn on the dowel - a special knot?

How did you keep the yarn on the ends and make it look so neat?

I might try this…I “inherited” skeins of yarn from a knitter, and have been trying to figure out what to do with it. Thank you.
