Craigslist Hutch Makeover With Chalk Paint

Amanda Brown
by Amanda Brown
I found this 1980's hutch on Craigslist and knew a fresh coat of chalk paint would be the best medicine for bringing her back to life! Using Annie Sloan's Old Ochre for the body and oil-rubbed bronze spray paint for the hardware, the hutch immediately became the focal point of our kitchen!
The Before and After!
Date, 1980's hutch
This tired hutch had been sitting in someone's garage for months, just waiting to be transformed!
I love all the details of this piece that are showcased after a coat of paint!
I removed the hardware to sand and paint.
This hutch is the focal point of the kitchen and easy to decorate for all the seasons!

I'd also like to know how you prepped this hutch before using the chalk paint. How many coats did it take? Beautiful job!
