Revamping a jewelry box

I have a couple of old jewelry boxes that I would like to renew as desk organizer/charging stations, any ideas? color, what to change, get rid of, add? I have attached a Google pic of what it looks like (can't get a pic of mine) There are drawers inside one of the doors.

I am not sure of the size of your jewelry box, but I have reincarnated many into real cute jewelry boxes. I repainted them all using chalk paint in vintage colors. Some of the boxes can come out if needed. You can rip out the ring holders. You could also tear out all the ugly lining and repaint the interior. Or step it up and reline with fabric or wallpaper. I mosaic the glass doors or you could wall paper them. Hope this helps.

Gosh, so many option to redesign this. I love how milknhoney reused her's as a desk organizer. It would be easy to repaint your box, then replace the glass with plexiglass and stencil it with a pretty design. Or add a tile or glass mosaic to the front of the door. Just painting it and changing the hardware would probably make it look completely different. Good luck and looking forward to seeing your finished project!

Removing the glass doors, painting it with chalk paint, plus a few little hand painted flowers could help you repurpose it into a doll clothes wardrobe. Also, I have a vintage minature dish cupboard that looks alot like this. Good luck!

I bought one at a thrift store many years ago and turned it into a Barbie armoir for my girls with just paint and a little fabric. It had lots of storage for the shoes and accessories and plenty of room for several outfits. My girls loved it! I know you were looking for ideas for a desk organizer but wanted to throw that out there for others reading this.

Thanks for the idea!I have a large, somewhat bland jewelry box that was a centerpiece at abridal shower.I've always wished it had more going on. Now I'm thinking about some changesI could make, including drilling a hole in the back to put a phone charger cord, so I can recharge our cell phonesand not just have them sitting out on a counter.
