La Isla De La Concina

We took down some kitchen cabinets to open up a wall. I turned the old cabinets into this beautiful kitchen island! I used mostly scrap wood that I had around the house. After paint and hardware and a couple of 2 X 4s I spent about $40. and it took about 2 days to build. I'm very happy with the results!

I had this old tabletop from a curbside find many months ago. It was the perfect fit for the island top.
I peiced everything together and sanded the top. I painted the cabinets red with a dark glaze and a coat of poly.
I covered the old knob holes and added the glass knobs on center.
