Make your cats go batty with this DIY Cat Toy! My cats love to play with anything that involves a string. They needed a new Halloween toy, so I made them a bat wand toy. I already had all the needed supplies, so it was completely free and they love it. You can make one, too!
You can find more details on my blog.
Needed materials:

Sturdy dowel 3-4 feet long

Small amount of felt

Small amount of string or yarn

Step 1: Draw up a template. I drew a simple bat. You could make whatever shape you want. If you want to use my template, you can find a pdf on my blog.

Step 2: Cut out the bat and pin the bat to the felt.
Step 3: Cut the bats out of the felt. I made six bats.
Step 4: Thread the string through the bats and tie a knot below each bat to keep them spaced out.
Step 5: Drill a hole through the dowel.
Step 7: Thread the string through the hole in the dowel and tie it to keep it in place.
Step 9: Play with your cat!

Omg I need to make one of these! Somehow my cats have this magical power of making ALL of their toys (the ones on sticks included) disappear! haha The bats on this are too cute.
  • It's lovely! I am going to make this. Halloween traditional colors are black and orange. Purple, green and red are recent additions. Pumpkins and scarecrows are the symbols of halloween.
