My husband and I have started a large renovation in our double wide home. The first step was to get rid of the 11+ year old carpet.
The before {almost halfway done}. This carpet was laid before we moved in, it is dirty and gross and not good for a family of 7. We used 1x2x8 pine slate boards to make a strong sturdy floor.
After it was all laid I used jacobean stain by minwax, and clear gloss polyurethane to seal and strength it.
I wiped the stain of quickly so you can still see the grain in the wood and all the variations. We have lots of beautiful knots. The more it gets used the more it takes on the farm house look we were going for.
Enjoyed the project?
