Garden Obelisk

My latest project for the garden, the plans I found on Pinterest were good, other than the size, it would have been 1.8m tall!
Undercoated
So I trimmed it down and it turned out pretty well.
The first coat of black paint, one more to go
Next might be a Versailles planter box?

@Lori Jackson http://www.sweetlivingmagazine.co.nz/diy-garden-obelisk/ Hi Lori here is the link, I bought smaller timber for the legs and all the rest I had and just ripped it down to the right size I wanted. I didn't want to spend too much money, so didn't bother with the finial on the top and also just added more horizontal pieces and have the verticals on two sides only. Basically I took the plan as a guide and then made it up as I went along.

Oh, I love the finial! But being a cheapie, there are those GIANT plastic chess pieces gathering dust in my garden shed. ;-)
