Studio Makeover

We were so excited when asked to do our own television show on a local cable station showing how we take outdated, unloved pieces and give them a new updated look! The filming took place in our home studio, so a makeover was seriously needed! We wanted the set and our studio area to have a girly feel to it, and I think we achieved that. It is still a work in progress, but take a peek at how it is coming along!
To begin, we had to clean the workshop out!
It was filled with all of our soon to be chiqued treasures!
After one day, we managed to sort it all out and get it back in, much neater!
The unfinished pieces are hidden behind the curtain! The painting of the walls has begun!
Painting over chip board is not pretty, but add a board and batten look and suddenly it has dimension and style!
One wall finished and window frames painted a black/brown
This poor buffet and hutch had to move with us as we worked along!
The workshop area staged!
The set area looking all pretty!
Some different views of the workshop
Boards put up as a temporary wall, still need to be painted but hiding all the mess at the back!
Another view of the temporary walls, framed with wood, beadboard.
Here we are filming the show!
2 gallons of paint later, board and batten wood purchased for under $40, and the workshop is a great place for a lady to do her work!
Watch for our next project..painting the outside of the workshop!
