Decorating a Lake House - Part 1

A few years ago, I decorated a vacation cabin home for a client. This past summer they asked me to decorate a lake home they were building in Arkansas. Well, I have never decorated long distance, but it was a really wonderful opportunity that I did not want to miss.
Sneak peek! This was one of my favorite rooms in the entire house. This brick walls are so beautiful!
I visited the lake house in the summer while it was still under construction. It was 104 degrees the day I was there!
Five months later, I headed to Arkansas with my assistant, and daughter-in-law Alice. We drove a packed suburban 7 hours.
The living room windows overlook the lake. You can see the necessities of decorating at the bottom left; coffee and snacks!
A truck arrived with furniture, and it took two days just getting the furniture moved in.
There was a T.J. Maxx and a Homegoods in town. We made four trips, and always came back with a loaded vehicle!
This chair was our favorite find! You can't tell from the photo, but the front is linen, and the back of the chair is burlap! Love it!
Here is a video of our decorating adventure!

Hi Jennifer! I love your decorating! My home is similar to the home in this video....lots of natural wood trimmed windows. I see you did not use window treatments. I feel I need to in my home for privacy. What would you suggest? (I'm really not fond on long heavy drapes.) Thanks!
