We made a barn door out of 2 Pallets. I think it turned out great! It brings some rustic to the room, frees up space, and looks really cool!!
You have to first dismantle the pallets to utilize the wood. You have to take care with removing the boards.
Hopefully you'll have better luck at removing the boards than I did. I got impatient with prying the boards off of the pallets so I used my circular saw to slice down either side of the pallet.
After sanding down the pallet wood I started created the door in two sections that I attached one on top of the other. I brought the door in and hung it with a sliding barn door kit bought on Amazon. For more detailed instructions and step by step photos of our pallet sliding barn door click on the link below and it will take you to our blog, Lehman Lane.

Murray McGinn on Nov 11, 2015Very good use of old pallets. I love to work with pallets also. It's such a good feeling to be able to create something out of something that would just end up in the landfill.
