Fall Sayings on Apples With Edible Writer

Every fall I look forward to any and all desserts that include apples, cinnamon, brown sugar and butter....but some of us are trying to be a little more healthy. I would never call just-plain-apples boring. Nevertheless, here is a way to make just-plain-apples a little more exciting with just a few fall saying and a black edible marker or writer.
I found a bunch of fall quotes and sayings on line, and then took snippets of the sayings to write on the apples.
Apples with lighter colored skin works best for this project: Gala, Honey Crisp, Golden Delicious, Macintosh.

Make sure to wash the wax off and dry thoroughly (see details on the blog post)

Many stores edible writers or markers. I used color: black with medium tip, but they have fine tipped, too.

Make sure apples are dry, start writing, and then let edible ink dry for several hours before touching. This could also be used for Thanksgiving sayings, Fall wedding decor with the bride and grooms name on each apple, what else...?

Fill a basket with these as a hostess gift or for your own party.

LOVE this! I went out & got the markers; & decided it was PERFECT for our 'gal-pal' gathering! I put 'fortune cookie/magic 8 ball' kind of answers on the apples; told the girls, make a wish, or ask a question; then pull an apple out of the basket! HUGH hit! Thank you! :D

I love this. I'm going to get my edible marker tomorrow. Yummy and very interesting. Hummmmm. What else can I use it for?

@Carrie Hawk I think there's a lot of fun ways you can get creative with this. Halloween sayings, name of bride and groom (and wedding date), name of per son whose birthday it is. One gal who commented put fortune teller sayings on them like the Magic 8 ball (remember those?) Anyway, so glad you like it and have fun!!! ~ Amy
