How to Make Cute Wood Block Pumpkins For Pumpkin Patch Decor
I had various pieces of 4 x 4's left from other projects, and I wanted to make something cute, easy, and inexpensive as a fall project for one of my tables. This is what I made, a tabletop pumpkin patch of wood block pumpkins!
Here's how to recreate this simple wood block pumpkin craft!
Tools and materials:
- 3 pieces of 4 x 4, different sizes
- 1 piece of wood, 4" x 8" x 1/4
- Orange paint
- 3 tree stumps, 3 1/2 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide
- Fall ribbon
- Raffia
- Twine
- Polyurethane
- Hot glue
- Glue gun (not shown)
- Black vinyl (not shown)
- Cricut Machine (not shown)
- Saw (not shown)
- Drill (not shown)
1. Cut & paint the wood
I cut three pieces of 4 x 4's. One is 11 1/2 inches tall, another one is 10 inches tall, and the smallest is 8 1/2 inches tall, and I painted them with orange paint.
2. Make the Pumpkin Patch sign
I cut a piece of wood, 8" x 4" x 1/4", to use for the sign. I didn't stain it, but I gave it a coat of polyurethane. Then I used my Cricut to make the pumpkin patch sign. But, you can use stencils or freehand.
3. Attach twine to hang the sign
I made two holes on the right and left upper parts of the sign to use twine to hang it from one of the pumpkins.
4. Glue stems to the pumpkins
Once the paint was dried, I hot glued the stems to the pumpkins.
5. Attach ribbon
I attached different color Fall ribbons to the stems.
6. Make raffia bows
I used raffia to make bows for the pumpkin stems, and placed them on top of the Fall ribbons.
