This year I wanted to create a DIY fall wreath using a Halloween wreath I had on hand and some spray paint to give it a more muted fall tone. You can always recycle and reuse what you already have; just update it with some paint. Here's how to make a simple white fall wreath.

Supplies

  • Branch wreath
  • Fall leaves
  • Stardust mini gypsophila florals
  • Small pumpkins
  • Hot glue
  • Spray paint in the color sand from Rustoleum

This wreath is so simple, with not too much going on. Follow along to recreate this fall wreath with me.

1. Spray-paint the wreath

This is the spray paint I used to spray paint the wreath. One can be enough. I did the back and front of the wreath.

2. Remove unwanted details

It should look something like this. You can find a wreath like this easily at a dollar store. Mine came with bats, but I removed them; you can always save them for another project.

3. Add fall leaves

I started by hot gluing the fall leaves, making sure to space them out.

I found the leaves at Dollar Tree and 1 bundle was enough. If you want it to be fuller, you need 2 more bundles.

Floral wire

4. Attach the gypsophila

Use floral wire to secure the stardust mini gypsophila floral. I used the brown and white florals; I picked up one bundle each from Hobby Lobby.

Attaching the gypsophila with wire

I placed them by stacking the brown on top of the white and following the pattern all over the entire wreath.

5. Add more leaves

I also used some of these white leaves. I'm unsure of the name, but I have seen these in Hobby Lobby. I hot glued these on the wreath wherever it needed to be fuller.

Dollar Tree pumpkins

6. Glue pumpkins to the wreath

These are pumpkin picks from Dollar Tree. I used 1 pack and hot glued them onto the wreath.

That is all you need to create this simple white fall wreath. I personally love decorating with very muted tones for the fall but you can always change it to your decor theme.
